Overview

In development by AVID Corporation for several years, the g-TES is now available to glass bottle manufacturers.

Designed for use at the cold end, the g-TES uses sophisticated sensors and surface tracking technologies to provide critical wall thickness measurement of glass bottles without complicated initial part setup.

Setups can be as simple as thickness band measurements at specific bottle-to-bottle contact points around the body panel, or sophisticated ‘whole bottle’ thickness analysis to uncover potential thickness problems.

In order to enhance customer laboratory efficiency, the system is available as an automatic loading system with indexing conveyor and automated part handling. A manually loaded system will also be made available for those customers that do not require automated handling, or have limited laboratory space.
