AVBIS-Q Bottle and Preform Dimensional Measurement System


AVBIS-Q (formerly 'QUIKCHEK') is AVID's entry-level precision measurement platform for bottles and preforms. The uncomplicated manual-load design of the AVBIS-Q is ideal for manufacturers seeking a limited low-cost measurement system for bottles or preforms who do not require the fully automated capability of the AVBIS-C or 4P series.

Deploying AVBIS-Q in a production area enhances efficiency for the production team and reduces downtime on the production equipment during mold maintenance maintenance.

The large optical field of view of AVBIS-Q allows most neck finishes (and in some cases, entire bottles) to be measured without horizontal control (max. diameter: ~90mm). Parts are handled automatically via a servo controlled rotary stage for precision searches and automatic measurement routines. The load-and-go operation of the Q is perfect for those facilities with limited staff.


AVBIS-Q borrows the setup features from the AVBIS system that makes new part setup so easy.
